Wildlife lovers will adore the tranquil Dubwath Silver Meadows Nature Reserve (8.5 miles). For something completely different (and a must if you have children with you), head to Alpacaly Ever After (7.5 miles) to meet – and maybe even adopt – one of their friendly alpacas (or llamas!). This delightful two-bedroom cottage, all in lovely stone, is full of charm and is in a wonderful spot for a rural break with family or friends. The kitchen, featuring gorgeous wooden units, comes well-equipped for whipping up your favourite meals.
