The location is fantastic, quiet and idyllic, nestled into the NW fells, 10 min walk to the pub, 20 min walk to bus stop. Great ridge walks from the door over to Buttermere, and get the bus back. Great views front and back. Fully equipped, clean, cosy, functional cottage. As one of the other reviewers pointed out a lot of care has gone into the arRead moretwork on the walls. Easy parking, and easy access off the A66, plenty of passing places on the minor roads if you follow the recommended route. Hide

Great location. Generally well set up. As per other comments over time the dryer (still) doesnt work - the Lakes are often wet and we would have appreciated it for this and a clothes wash. Otherwise it was a good experience - we visited in early autumn so didnt need heating. The shower was perfectly good, the bed comfortable enough etc.

A cosy cottage in a nice location. The kitchen equipment is superb, nothing is missing, and pans and pots are in a very good condition. The dryer of the washing machine was not working. The fridge has no freezing capacity which was not a problem for us, and was otherwise in a perfect condition.
