Our first visit to the Lake District for many years. Cartmel is a terrific village with a great history as well as 4 pubs and a good choice of eateries. The cottage was ideally located in particular parking , which is difficult in the centre of the village. The cottage really felt like home, comfortable and well equipped. Enjoyed a 3 night short break early February. Cottage is very well appointed with comfortable sofa/chair and bed. Nicely decorated and well equipped. Location is excellent with parking for one car outside door. Easy walk to centre of Cartmel. Would recommend Pig and Whistle pub just across the road from cottage.

Cannot fault this cosy cottage for two everything is perfect. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and everything worked well. The space to park your car is literally under the window/outside the front door and is a little tight but we managed to park our Tesla so no problem. The space is valuable as parking is difficult in the village. Read moreThe Pig & Whistle is across the road a nice pub on your doorstep and no noise issues.
