Situated in the popular town of Bowness-on-Windermere, this contemporary property is a welcome retreat for you and your guests. Sleeping four across two spacious bedrooms, this holiday home is perfect for couples or small families looking for a quiet holiday but with plenty of things to do on the doorstep. Take a walk just half a mile to the World of Beatrix Potter, or hire a canoe, kayak or bicycle from Windermere Canoe and Kayak which is 3 miles by car and just 1.5 miles on foot, and spend a day venturing around England’s longest lake.

The property, which is just a mile’s walk from the water’s edge, has a bright and airy feel thanks to its open-plan style. The kitchen diner has everything you need to get cooking, while the dining table, set in a large bay window, offers a wonderful view over the houses and countryside beyond. The lounge is a cosy haven to kick back and relax in, with soft neutral decor and rich wood furnishings that create a tranquil atmosphere. When it’s time for bed head to one of the bedrooms; the king-size bedroom, which can be made up into a twin, has patio doors leading to the garden letting in lots of natural light.

Make sure you pay a visit to Grizedale Forest (12.5 miles), which offers views from Lake Windermere to Coniston Water, and has plenty of walking trails to lead you to the best parts of the forest. If you love the work of Wordsworth, go to see Dove Cottage (9 miles) – while you’re in Grasmere you can stop off for gingerbread at the famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop. And for something a bit more relaxing, cruise on an Ullswater Steamer from the south of the lake (14 miles).

A really clean, comfy, cosy cottage situated within the village of Windermere. Dog friendly and a lovely welcome pack of local tea and coffee, milk, shortbread and fudge. All much appreciated after a 7 hour journey. Very quiet peaceful road with loads of free parking and a few hundred yards from a small park for the dog. The perfect base from whichRead more to explore The Lakes and watch Bluebird running on Lake Coniston. Within walking distance of Shops and a couple of nice restaurants. (Highly recommend La Italia) Further afield by car but only a couple of miles was Booths Supermarket (very upmarket ) and quaint pubs with great character and more restaurants. And just a few more miles out mountain passes (not for the faint hearted), Waterfalls, pretty little villages with quirky shops and the most stunning breath taking scenery. Very clean, convenient to local towns, dog friendly and enjoyed walking in the local neighborhood! Excellent place to stay for a first visit to the lakes district!

This property is of the highest quality. Clean and well appointed with good quality white goods including washing machine, dishwasher and large fridge freezer the cottage was also very comfortable. Perfectly positioned between Bowness on Windermere and Windermere it was an easy walk to either town and their amenities but still maintaining a quiet eRead morenvironment to stay. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was highly advantageous. I would highly recommend this property and we plan to return. Hide

The most perfect and relaxing stay. The property is well maintained, and a lovely large space. It was easy to find, park outside and access the property. The kitchen had lots of storage and handy equipment, we appreciated the welcome package. The living room was comfy, and we were grateful that it had a smart TV, it really made it feel like home. Fantastic location in-between Windermere and Bowness 10 min walk to each. Immaculately clean throughout with lovely welcome box and dressing grounds a lovely touch. The location of this cottage is perfect! Easy walking distance to both Bowness and Windermere. It is very spacious and has everything you will need. There is a new gate in the garden making it fully secure for your dogs. We did leave a day early due to wanting a good nights sleep as personally we found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable - that mRead moreay be personal preference. Parking was never an issue, there is loads of space on both sides of the road. A lovely pub 400m away - The Brookside Hide

Beautiful flat. Very spacious kitchen and living area. Bedrooms nice especially the one that opens up to the private garden. Great location to walk into Bowness and bus stop at the bottom of the read. We had a perfect weekend break here
