Set in a charming market town surrounded by the North Pennines, Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, this stylish and characterful two-bed property is perfect for outdoor lovers who are looking for an action-packed getaway. Enter the lobby and continue into the bright, neutral-toned lounge with vaulted wooden beamed ceilings, skylights and patio doors which open onto the garden. Rustic and colourful patterned furnishings decorate the space while the flame-effect electric fire creates an ambient glow. Continue into the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner with a ‘U’-shaped fitted unit boasting wooden surface tops. Adjacent is a contemporary marble-effect dining table and in the corner of the room is a sunny window seat. Head downstairs to reach the lower ground floor, which contains a family bathroom, a compact utility space and two bedrooms. In front of the property is a small cobbled area and a shed where outdoor furniture is stored.

Discover the delights of Appleby-in-Westmorland during your stay in the market town. Admire the towering Appleby Castle, pop into the art gallery and walk along River Eden. You could also dine out at one of the local eateries or take advantage of the transport links from Appleby train station. Head into the North Pennines to find Low Force Waterfall, High Force Waterfall and the Moor House nature reserve (all within 28 miles). The Lake District’s Haweswater Reservoir and Ullswater Lake are both within 22 miles. Alternatively, you could explore the Yorkshire Dales (12 miles).

Cottage was lovely it had everything we needed,It was decorated lovely,Was very clean,would definitely recommend a stay here,The beds were so comfy,had a great night's sleep every night.

We had an amazing stay at Bonface Cottage, the owners have an amazing eye for design and used quality furniture and accessories. The beds and pillows were really comfortable and the setting quiet and idyllic. It was well located to visit Penrith, Kirby Stephen and of course Appleby itself, we definitely enjoyed food from the local delicatessens andRead more wanted for nothing. Would definitely stay again. The cottage was in a good location, many local pubs and walks, however the cottage could do with a good clean. Upon arrival it was evident that it hadn't been dusted for some time, lots of cobwebs and unfortunately in the master bedroom an overwhelming smell of dap that really does need to be addressed for future guests. The bed and carpet felt Read moredamp, we had the heating on to try and overcome this but it didn't help. I understand it's an old cottage but this needs to be addressed.
