This charming four-bedroom country retreat situated in the village of Cartmel boasts a studio annexe, a walled garden, and elegant furnishings. It’s a good choice for a family or holiday with friends looking for plenty of space plus easy access to fine-dining restaurants and scenic trails.

The interior is warm and welcoming with chic touches throughout. Kick off muddy shoes in the boot room before stepping into the spacious kitchen where you can pour a drink and dish up nibbles before heading across the hallway to the lounge. Artwork on the walls, ambient lighting, and garden views make this room a relaxing and comfortable space. On chilly nights cosy up on the sofa in front of the gas log effect fire or gather everyone together and linger over a hearty meal at the table in the dining room. During the summer, you’ll want to open the patio doors and let the sunshine spill in. At the end of the day, head upstairs to the first floor where you’ll find three stylish bedrooms. Featuring a king-size, a double, and twin beds, the bedrooms are wonderfully comfortable and boast garden and village green views.

The newly extended and improved annexe offers a luxurious space away from the rest of the house. Downstairs is an elegant modern lounge and work space, beautifully appointed and furnished and featuring a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and drinks making facilities. The all new bathroom features a large walk-in shower and top of the range fixtures, with underfloor heating throughout. Upstairs you'll find more bright and spacious contemporary living, with a king-size bed and a further sitting room, making it the perfect venue for couples or dependents in search of their own space while away.

Cartmel is a pretty village with a lively square and a good selection of fine-dining restaurants, cosy pubs, and friendly cafes. From Cartmel, there are plenty of walking and cycling trails including the Hampsfell Trail and Morecambe Bay Cycleway. Alternatively, try a spot of wild swimming and kayaking at Lake Windermere (7 miles).

Gorgeous cottage in Cartmel that offers off road parking. Cosy but spacious. Definitely the best place in Cartmel to stay. Will be back again.

Town end cottage is a great location and kept in great condition. We have stayed here many times and the owners have recently repainted. Very cosy, great location and would highly recommend.

The cottage was ok, few cleaning issues! Location good. Annexe was nice. Fires didnt work. Beds not comfy. Well equipped for cooking for large groups. Probably wouldnt return. As wasnt value for money. 5 out of 10.
