With Cat Bells and Grizedale Pike nearby (within 5 miles), this is a great spot for climbers, or you can take a ferry across Derwentwater to Keswick (3.5 miles) which has plenty of activities and attractions including the Puzzling Place and Derwent Pencil Museum. Also nearby are Bassenthwaite Lake, Mirehouse and Gardens, and Skiddaw (all within 7.5 miles).
