You can also make the most of the beautiful lake either by hiring a kayak and paddling yourself or catching one of the stately Ullswater steamers and enjoying the picturesque surroundings on a gentle cruise. Cyclists are particularly well served at Hillcrest with the coast-to-coast cycle way literally passing the front door and a wealth of bridleways and small rural roads to explore under pedal power nearby.

As you enter the house, you are greeted by an attractive dining room with a large table that seats eight people. In summertime, the double front doors can be thrown open to create a light and airy dining area. During colder months, a wood burner offers a cosy feel, perfect for festive gatherings or special occasion get togethers.
The kitchen is well laid out and is complemented by a large utility area and informal dining table. The kitchen contains a split level electric oven and hob, tall fridge/freezer and plenty of clever storage.
