The spacious house has stunning artwork by the owner and other local artists throughout and the bonus of a lane next door for walking your furry friends.
Being a converted barn, the house has bags of charm, gorgeous high ceilings and wooden features. It’s light and bright but still cosy on chilly evenings thanks to the wood burner. Keen cooks will love the large kitchen with a Range oven, and there’s a second area for relaxing in the sunroom with patio doors leading outside. One of the two double bedrooms is on the ground floor with an en-suite shower room, the second one is on the first floor and has an en-suite bathroom. There’s also a shared laundry room, a bike store, and a lovely private garden where you can get together for a BBQ and relax under the stars.
Appleby is less than 2 miles away where there are some lovely artisan stores and a Harry Potter themed shop to visit. The Norman Castle is worth exploring or take a trip on the Settle to Carlisle rail line. The barn is perfectly located for walking in the Lakes and Pennines and exploring the stunning scenery and rich wildlife with walks to suit everyone. There are open-air swimming pools at Shap or Akham (less than 11 miles away) if you visit in the warmer months, golf courses at Appleby and Penrith (12 miles) and local riding stables too for the horse lovers of the group.
