If you’re looking for a gentler way to stretch your legs, take a stroll at the Neolithic stone circle at Castlerigg (1.5 miles), or for something a little more sociable, head into Keswick (0.5 mile) for the evening, where you’ll find plenty of friendly pubs and restaurants to enjoy.
