As a petty of 6 over 3 generations we loved this place. Great for dog walking and access to the eastern lakes was perfect. The house is gorgeous and the layout and character is lovely. I'm still being thanked by the family for finding it... So extra creds for me. Will return.

We were 8 guests. The property was clean and tidy on arrival. Some kitchen provisions were lacking for 8 people and only having one shower was tricky in the mornings! Stunning location, and very off the beaten track. Feather duvets were in the property and the replacement non feather was heavily stained but was replaced with a new one quickly. The Read moreproperty needs some love and care to reach its potential. The owner was slow to reply before we arrived but that improved once we were there. Hide

Beautifully appointed cottage in a very nice location. I'm sure it's not an issue in summer, but in bad weather it's worth taking provisions with you, as we were let down by an online food deliverer and the nearest shop is 4 miles away. We loved the location but it is 10 minute drive and no facilities nearer. That is why we chose it but it may not suit some people. It is a well firnished and comfortable house in a very very quiet spot. It is very dog friendly but not fenced in so dogs can get out. Wi-fi is a bit intermittent as in most rural areas. Very comfortable cottage in a very quiet pretty village. Beds super comfy, rooms good size, well equipped kitchen, good sized lounge. The only downside is that the village doesn't have a pub, so someone needs to be the designated driver for pub evening meals. But great walks from the door, or nearby and SUCH pretty scenery. Plus side: not the hoardRead mores of tourists that you find when you turn left off the M6 (coming from the over-crowded south!). We shall turn right again! Great area. Hide
