Many of the rooms are light and airy benefiting from high ceilings and tall windows. There is a lovely patio area to the rear of the property.

The centre of Cockermouth is a short stroll down the street offering access to some fantastic independent shops, plenty of restaurants, cafe bars and with good public transport links. At the end of Kirkgate is an excellent pub complete with it’s own micro-brewery. Slightly further away is an award-winning vegetarian restaurant.

An original tiled hall leads to the front facing lounge featuring a log effect gas fire and television with DVD/video player. The owners have thoughtfully provided a library of books, DVDs and tourist information.

Off the hall to the rear of the property is a spacious dining room with table and chairs for five people, and a DAB radio. Leading off the dining room is the kitchen featuring a gas cooker, free standing fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, food processor, slow cooker, a coffee machine, cafetiere and a drying rack. The kitchen is very well equipped for self catering with items such as sandwich bags, cling film, foil, tupperwear etc. The owner provides tea, coffee, sugar and milk, so that you can enjoy a welcoming drink on arrival.

In the hall, a well equipped under-stairs cupboard houses laundry items including a drying rack, ironing board, washing baskets and cleaning products.

Upstairs are three bedrooms all with fresh neutral walls and brand new carpets. Overlooking the front of the property is the master bedroom with twin beds, a feature cast iron fireplace and a large Georgian sash window.
