The owners have thought of everything to make this stylish barn conversion a real countryside retreat for eight guests in the Cumbrian countryside. Surrounded by 180 acres of working farmland with grazing cattle, bluebell woods and farm tours on offer, guests of all ages will adore leaving their stresses behind and getting stuck into country life. Further rural beauty can be discovered with ample walks from your doorstep and excursions in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. You’re also welcome to spend time at the beach, with Morecambe Bay and the Arnside and Silverdale AONB within 20 miles.

Set out over two storeys, this space has been optimised to ensure that it’s always filled with light and utterly cheerful. There’s a lounge downstairs that’s designed to suit every season, complete with French doors leading out to the enclosed garden for the summer and a wood burner to pack full of logs throughout the winter. Three bedrooms are found alongside an en-suite and a family bathroom here on the ground floor, whilst an additional master bedroom sits beside a mezzanine lounge just upstairs. Outdoors, along with the private garden and never-ending farmland, there’s a converted stable with table tennis.

Just 2.5 miles along the River Lune, Kirkby Lonsdale is your nearest town with great independent shopping, a beloved market and the scenic Devil’s Bridge (2 miles) that’s a real must-see. The town is perched on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with plenty of walks to be embarked on from here, including a route to Ingleton (7 miles) to embark on the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. Further beauty spots close to here include Ingleborough (11 miles) and the Ribblehead Viaduct (13.5 miles).
