Dubwath Silver Meadows nature reserve is just over 300 metres from the property with viewing hides and nature walks, and next door is a full-size replica steam train of the Orient Express, previously used as part of a film set, which now offers a delicious afternoon tea. Sample local spirits at the Lake Distillery (1 mile) or take your mountain bike to off-road along beautiful trails in Whinlatter Forest (8.5 miles).
