This stunning extra space is such a fantastic addition; lovely and light, it's the perfect place to escape to with a good book or simply a peaceful few minutes gazing out at the beautiful surrounding countryside. A king-size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room completes the first floor. Up another flight of stairs to the second floor and the further three bedrooms, a further spacious king and two delightful twin rooms, and the separate WC and modern family bathroom. In the garage you'll find a fantastic games room, as well as plenty of space for storing bikes.

The property is a charming hamlet, with plenty to see and do nearby. Take a look inside the beautiful village church before heading out on foot or two-wheels to explore the many country roads and footpaths that meander their way around this corner of the South Lakes. Walk from the door to nearby High Dam, a picturesque tarn that once supplied water to the Bobbin Mill at Stott Park, a must for anyone with an interest in local history. Wind your way through the woodland paths here - fun for dogs and people alike. Pack a picnic and head to the southern shores of Lake Windermere. Take a ride on one of the lake cruises, the perfect way to enjoy the water.

Why not take a scenic drive east towards stunning Coniston Water? Or north to the pretty village of Hawkshead? Visit Beatrix Potter's former home of Hill Top, stock up on the famous Hawkshead Relish or indulge your sweet tooth at the local ice cream stand. Spend a day exploring the stunning southern coast of Cumbria, with its wide horizons and fresh coastal air it's the perfect place to truly unwind.

Enter through the stunning glass panelled front door into a spacious light filled hallway. Here you will find a handy WC and store room, ideal for storing coats and shoes. Continue onwards to the fantastic dining kitchen. Well equipped with a double electric oven and separate electric hob, cooks are sure to love the shaker style kitchen. There's an under unit fridge, washing machine, microwave and useful dishwasher - no fighting over who has to do the washing up here! Gather round the pine dining table for convivial mealtimes, perfect for catching up on the day's events. There's also an additional television, conveniently positioned on the deep windowsill. In the hallway you'll also find an extra WC and a handy under-stairs store room which houses a fridge/freezer.

On the first floor is the spacious living room; light, bright and airy but still homely and cosy thanks to its open fire. Sink into one of the two sofas or armchair, perfect for a relaxing night in. For entertainment there's a 42 TV with Freesat, DVD player and Bose bluetooth speaker. Off the living room is an amazing wrap around conservatory, the perfect place for a family game (you'll find a great selection in the cupboard here) or escape to for a peaceful moment with a good book. The views over the surrounding countryside will undoubtedly distract you from reading too much though! Catch a glimpse of the local wildlife and grazing cattle and sheep. Doors from the hallway lead out onto a delightful upper patio and gardens, early risers will love a peaceful morning cuppa out here before everyone else gets up.

Also on the first floor is a king-size bedroom. Decorated in soft blue-green tones, it's a lovely calming room with a handy chest of drawers and wardrobe for storage. This king-size bedroom benefits from its own en-suite shower room (with WC, wash basin and shower cubicle), a real treat.

Up another flight of stairs to the second floor where you'll find the other three bedrooms. First up is another gorgeous king room. This spacious bedroom contains a feature wooden king-size bed - perfect for indulging in a long lie in, wardrobe, chest of drawers, handy sink, cute whicker chair and fold-away table, very handy for when you want to write a few postcards. The remaining two bedrooms are both twins, the first decorated with green soft furnishings and the second with light purples and yellows. Both twin rooms have a useful sink, wardrobe and chest of drawers, and are lovely and light thanks to their dormer windows. Also on the first floor is a separate WC and modern family bathroom. As well as a wash basin there is a bath with a hand shower attachment and a separate power shower meaning all tastes are catered for.

In the attached garage is the welcome addition of a games room, with table tennis and a dart board it's sure to be a hit with children and adults alike, particularly on a wet day! In the garage you'll also find a useful tumble dryer and bikes can also be stored securely in here should you wish to explore on two wheels.

Outside is a lovely enclosed garden with plenty of different areas to explore. Laid out over different levels, children and dogs will love playing on the lawn area. There are 2 delightful patio areas to choose from, both perfect for enjoying some outdoor dining; have breakfast on the lower patio where you'll catch the morning sun before moving round to the upper patio at the rear of the cottage for an afternoon aperitif and supper al fresco - there's even a BBQ available if grilling is your thing! Follow the steps to an enchanting 'secret garden', complete with old rustic outbuilding and surrounded by beautiful countryside, you'll feel the stresses of everyday life drifting away as you gaze out over the rolling fields.

An amazing property with excellent views and amazing walks on your doorstep. We wanted to explore the wider area but found if you wanted to stay local without a car there was ample to do minutes from your front door either walking or on bikes.
