Peacock Cottage is a spacious well equipped cottage in lovely gardens. All bedrooms a good size, lovely deep bath, warm and cozy. We have stayed here several times and will return. Lots of walks from the doorstep, we didnt use the car all week. Handy having the outgate Inn next door and the drunken duck a short walk away.

Beautiful house with plentiful character and charm. Spacious for 4 adults and 2 children with plenty of room to dine together whilst also finding room for quieter moments. The sauna was a real delight and provided a wonderful therapy for tired bodies. The house is located within easy walking distance from Hawkshead for local shopping, cafes and pubRead more dining (we ate at the Queens Head, Red Lion and Poppi Red, all provided fabulous food and friendly service) Hawkshead has a Co-op, the honeypot deli/shop and a chemist for all your shopping needs (and a few pubs, cafes and souvenir and outdoor apparal/clothes shops), again friendly staff and wonderful service. Convenient bus stop location for journeys to Ambleside and Coniston. Walks from the doorstep to High Wray (fantastic swimming spot) and Latterbarrow for beautiful views. Located next to to the Outgate Inn which also provided great food and friendly service. The location and house was perfect, would be delighted to stay again. Hide
