This picture-postcard cottage is bound to make anyone feel relaxed with its smart, bright and airy interiors and pretty cottage-style gardens front and back. That’s on top of its location at the start of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, within 2 miles of the attractive village of Ingleton, its amenities and lovely Waterfalls Trail. With two versatile bedrooms, this traditional stone cottage would suit a family – or two – or a small group of friends plus canine companions keen to explore this beautiful area. That’s if you can rip yourself away from this stylish home from home.

Keep dog towels to hand and leave muddy boots in the charming porch. Thoughtfully kitted out, this cottage feels both cosy and sophisticated and, as it’s flooded with light amid tasteful, neutral decor, it feels like a relaxing place to spend time. The star of the wonderful open-plan lounge/diner is the exposed wooden beams and frame – twisted and split with age in places. Comfortable sofas and a wood burner invite you into the lounge, while the dining table easily seats six for holiday fare. There’s another, smaller table for four in the spacious kitchen/diner with all mod cons for the chef du jour to work their magic. Upstairs, the two spacious king-size bedrooms (one can be a twin upon request) are calming, just right for a good night’s sleep. There’s a garden front and back with a charming furnished patio area for those BBQ nights.

If you like walking and cycling, many tracks and trails start almost directly from your doorstep. Nestling under Ingleborough, one of the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks, Ingleton boasts a variety of independent shops and cafes. If you fancy a break from the Yorkshire Dales National Park, then the picturesque Forest of Bowland lies just 7 miles away.

Lovely, cosy cottage, thoughtfully renovated and very comfortable. Great location, close to Ingleton and walking distance to a very nice pub.

A nice cottage, located in a quiet lane. We'd stay again. Although the back garden is enclosed, the perimeter wall was not high enough to contain our cocker spaniel who easily escaped over the wall to the next door garden and would probably easily have escaped to the field behind if he'd tried. Next door there was a cat which was another attractionRead more for escape attempts. If you have a dog, these may be important considerations for you. Hide

Great location for exploring the Southern Yorkshire Dales. A very comfortable cottage in a quiet location. 10 minute walk to a nice pub and a 5 minute drive to either Ingleton or Kirby Lonsdale for more food and drink choices.

A charming, comfortable cottage which had everything we needed. Especially the log burner, as the weather turned wet and cold on arrival day. This is the perfect property in a beautiful location. Would highly recommend.

This cottage was very clean and well equipped. Liked the fact that it was eco-friendly. Beds were very comfortable, sofa, although looked very nice not quite so. Pretty front garden but wild rear garden.
