Lovely cottage in a great location. Very quiet and felt rural and yet only 20 mins slow walk to station area or lake. Well equipped. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful property in a wonderful location. It had everything we wanted, close proximity to Bowness and Windermere, but tucked away in a quiet spot. The weather was great, so we were also able to sit out on the patio to enjoy the lovely garden. I would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely place--very spacious and easy to access if you're driving. It's about a 19-minute walk to the city center, which isn't too bad. The landlord is very informative, and the cottage has everything you need. The only thing I'd mention is the note on the dryer--it's a bit concerning. It says the dryer was bought in 2016 and implies there could beRead more a fire risk, which I only noticed after starting the washing machine. Thankfully, the dryer worked fine and nothing happened. But honestly, if there's a real safety concern, maybe it shouldn't be there at all. One more small thing--the DVD player wasn't working. A bit of a shame, since we were really looking forward to watching Alfred Wainwright's hiking documentary. Other than that, everything was amazing, and we really appreciated the Lakeland milk! Overall, highly recommended! Hide
