Sunrise Cottage exceeded all our expectations and immediately became a much-loved retreat to which we will certainly be returning. The cottage is beautifully clean, well-equipped, exceptionally comfortable, spacious, peaceful and, above all else, has the most spectacular views over Coniston whatever the weather. This is a real gem from whichRead more to embrace all that the Lake District has to offer - views over Coniston Water and the Old Man and within easy driving distance to many other beauty spots. The cottage is beautiful, the views are stunning. The beds really comfortable. Be mindful that there is a road between the front door and the garden, some people drive very fast without care. It is single track and we saw a few head on altercations! Parking not ideal for family sized car.

Great cottage, best we have stayed at in Coniston

The cottage was perfect , clean , well equipped kitchen & a fabulous bathroom! Only one teeny negative... the bed settee in the single room is a bit firm ... felt like sleeping on the floor ! Apart from that it's a great place and would definitely stay again

The cottage was really lovely. Very clean, cosy, warm and very comfortable. Couldn't fault anything about it. It had everything we needed. A word of warning, the lane up to the cottage is very steep, so unless you are pretty fit, best to use the car and not attempt to walk up it. We managed it, so not a problem for us. We would definitely stay at SRead moreunrise Cottage again. Hide

Absolutely idyllic setting & view, walkable to the village with pubs shops and nearby walks. Beautiful modernised cottage & very warm. We loved it.

Lovely, comfortable, well-appointed cottage with gorgeous views. The lane is tiny; I strongly recommend NOT arriving in the dark, as we did.

The cottage is exceptional, the quality of everything inside is of the highest standard. It was very cosy, and within a very short distance of Coniston village and great walking routes. The parking is tricky, as the garage allocated is too small for a standard family car, but we parked at the bottom of the hill and made the short walk to the cottagRead moree. It was tricky when loading and unloading too, but the quality of the cottage outweighed the slight inconvenience of the parking. Hide
