We had a lovely stay at the Hayloft, it is compact but contains everything a couple needs for a wonderful time in an ideal location. Loads of great walks from the doorstep, and a comfortable cottage and cute garden if you'd rather stay put and relax. This is a beautiful corner of the Lakes, and a very pretty, well-equipped, lovely-looking place to stay. We had everything we needed: bed linen, towels, kitchen equipment, and some thoughtful welcome touches. The cottage was spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and crisp bed linen. Downstairs, there was a cosy, comfortable lounge to sit and restRead more our aching feet after walking miles. There's off-road parking, a lovely pub next door, and we will definitely return with more family to stay in the cottage (Peacock Cottage) next to the Hayloft, also owned by the same family. Cottage was very cosy and very comfortable, it was in great condition and in a great location for walks from the property. Had a super short break staying at the Hayloft in Outgate. So convenient and handy for a multitude of walks and the village pub! The cottage is small but ideal for myself and Bertie my dog. We had fabulous weather and the Lakes themselves weren't too busy. I would certainly recommend the cottageand hopefully we'll be back there soon.

Wonderful place - cosy, great location, and lovely vibe. But the sofa is terribly uncomfortable. If it wasn't for that, we'd happily return.

We spent new year at this beautiful cottage and had such a lovely time! Bed was really comfortable, smart TV, lovely towels provided and everything was clean and looked after. There are easy to follow walks to Coniston, Hawkshead and Ambleside straight from the door and we loved doing these during our stay. The pub next door was also great and is dRead moreog friendly too! Couple of things to mention. Sadly the hot water did not work very well. We had to get up at 7am and press the water to "boost" otherwise we would not be able to hot shower in a morning (Update: This issue has now be resolved). If not, we would have to set it to "boost" as we left for the day so we could have a warm shower when we got home. This was the same for warm enough water to wash up. We thought the garden would be attached to the property but it wasn't so we did not use this. Worth knowing for those with dogs wanting a secure garden. Overall, lovely cosy little place and perfect for just the two of us. We had a great time :) Hide
