Our 3rd stay at this property we note some improvements crockery matches now & we noted new storage heaters, we have never stayed in the winter so unsure if these are an improvement. The property was spotless on arrival and came with a decent supply of basic amenities. Nice touch the bottle of fizz & some milk

I cannot recommend The Lawns highly enough. It is comfortable, well appointed, great location and just a really lovely, special place. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you!

Spacious property in quiet setting with good access to fells and Skelwith Bridge. Wood burning stove and well equipped kitchen all make this a great place to stay.

I think I have almost lost count of the number of times I have stayed at The Lawns - which says it all really. A spacious, well equipped cottage in a tranquil setting in a beautiful valley with plenty of walks on the doorstep.. Just perfect.

Super spacious property in a quiet excellent location, very clean on arrival with some complementary fizz & milk. Be prepared for poor WiFi & although loads of crockery & cutlery none of it matches which felt odd

Lakeland Retreats were excellent at handling the booking. The property was exactly as described and ideally placed..We never used the car once in seven days. Very spacious, well appointed and clean. We will certainly look to book again.

This was our second time staying at The Lawns. It was just as wonderful the second time as the first. The accommodation is well thought out and it felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. The Lake District is one of our favourite places and The Lawns is somewhere we would choose to stay every time.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful and peaceful location. I have stayed here several times and it never fails to provide the perfect holiday. Has everything you need - and more. As always, Lakeland Retreats very very helpful and supportive.

We loved everything! Ideally situated near Ambleside, but still in a quiet area. Skelwith bridge pub is literally at the bottom of the road. Great location for walks to elterwater. And skelwith force. Cathedral caves are literally 2.5 miles away.
