Numerous scenic walking trails branch away from the village, and you’ll also be perfectly placed for visiting Lake District highlights, such as Ambleside and Windermere (both within 5 miles).
The luxurious home is reached via a small flight of steps. Inside, the stunning property has a distinct Arts and Crafts style, with elegant wood panelling, beamed ceilings, stained glass, and rich fabrics. After a day of adventure, unwind in the magnificent lounge/diner, where an array of gorgeous seating is set around an open fire and a TV. Next to the window is a large, wooden dining table for enjoying mealtimes together. The separate kitchen is equipped with everything needed for a self-catering getaway, and there’s a breakfast bar for perching with a morning coffee. Rounding off the ground floor is an inviting twin bedroom, a shower room, and a utility room. Upstairs, you’ll find a beautiful double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. French doors from the lounge open onto an attractive garden with a picnic table and BBQ. Please note, although the garden is enclosed, it’s not fully secure. Private parking is provided for three cars.
There’s plenty to see and do in Grasmere; visit Dove Cottage, the former home of William Wordsworth, sample the famous Grasmere gingerbread in the local bakery, or head down to the lake to hire a rowing boat and get out on the water. The village is the starting point of some beautiful walks, including a riverside stroll to Rydal Caves. A more exhilarating route takes you to the summit of Helm Crag, where you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views.
