This lovely second-floor apartment has everything you need for a cosy getaway in the Lakes, just 50 metres from Waterhead Pier for cruises, boat trips and a wide range of water sports right on your doorstep. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the apartment is an ideal escape for one or two couples or a small family. More shopping and dining options are available in Ambleside, less than a mile away, where you can also snap a shot of the famous tiny Bridge House, or investigate the remains of a Roman fort. The dramatic Stock Ghyll Force waterfall is only 1.5 miles from your door, and of course, there are endless walks in the area, from gentle waterside strolls to challenging fell hikes. Head up Skelghyll Woods and over Jenkins Crag, for example, to experience ancient woodlands, glorious views and the National Trust's beautiful Stagshaw Gardens.

No 29 Jenkins Crag is an amazing property. I have never found a property that is so well looked after and well equipped. The view is terric and you leave feeling so relaxed having soaked up the view for a week. Walks can be made from the front door without taking the car. Equally take the boat or walk into Ambleside. Fabulous.

This apartment is such a wonderful place to stay. It offers 5-star comfort and facilities, fantastic views across Windermere to Wray Castle and is ideally located for our boat and bus travels and adventures in the Lake District. We'll be coming back again before too long!

This was, by far, the best airbnb we've ever stayed in. The flat was absolutely perfectq - clean, extremely well- equipped, modern, and had the most incredible view of Lake Windermere.
