The property is in the heart of Ambleside, a bustling Lakeland town brimming with activities, from scenic hikes and mountain biking to boat trips on the lakes and a variety of water sports. Lake Windermere, one of Cumbria's most beloved stretches of water, is just 1 mile away, offering endless opportunities for adventure. The picturesque River Rothay also winds through the town on its way to the idyllic Stock Ghyll Force (0.5 miles). Nearby, you can explore the landscaped beauty of Stagshaw Gardens (1 mile), the remains of a Roman fort on the shores of the lake (1 mile), or the charming village of Skelwith Bridge (2.5 miles), reached via a scenic walk along the banks of the River Brathay.

Lovely cottage, central to Ambleside. Excellent shower, good size bedroom and well equipped kitchen including a tassimo coffee machine. Will recommend this cottage to friends and family.

Location is excellent, apartment was clean and tidy , kitchen and bedroom were good , note for owners shower tray flooded & need larger floor rug as floor was cold otherwise good value for money would recommend it to friends & family

Lovely flat in the middle of Ambleside so ideal location for walking into to grab dinner or drinks etc. Also some lovely walks straight from Ambleside. Pub over the road can be quite noisy when they do live music in the evenings but we found it manageable. Would highly recommend for a week stay!

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the cosy atmosphere of the cottage. It was the perfect size for the 2 of us and we felt like we had more than enough space. We also really liked how everything was set up and decorated; it was obvious that it had all been done with care.
