Wonderful cosy cottage in a fantastic location. Set in such a pretty part of the Lake District with great outside space. Short stroll through a park to a lake shore offers beautiful views and chance to see forest animals( deers, rabbits, birds). Absolutely beautiful surroundings, views you could look at all day and not get bored. We had an amazing Read moreweather so daily swimming and paddle boarding in the lake was a bonus. The lovely decorated cottage was really well equipped and perfect for our family of four. We would rush back here in a heartbeat as everything was as perfect as possible. Lovely house with everything we needed, and it was lovely and cosy. The bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch! Make sure you read all the info in the folder as we stupidly didn't and found the freezer on the last day (by the dining table). The lake access was fantastic and we were on the SUP board every day. Luckily we had checked out the Read morereviews so we were fully prepared for a trip down to the lake - 10-15 mins walk or just a few mins in the car. Ample parking across from the cottages as well as down near the lake. The boiler broke down on our first day but the holiday let company ensured someone came to fix it the next morning. Our 8&10 year old boys loved it - bedroom ideal for them - and are desperate to come again! Hide

Lovely little cottage which is part of a former estate. Very cozy. The area is fantastic and easy walking distance to Lake Windemere. Located in central part of the Lake District so handy to seeing other spots in the Lakes.
