Isaac House is really central in the town and great for accessing all local facilities in Cockermouth without the need to drive anywhere, but at the same time is also in a very quiet location - no noise at all from local pubs etc at night. Also ideally located for a number of lovely walks right from the doorstep. The property itself has all the Read moreequipment you need for a self catering holiday and for relaxing in the evenings after a busy day on the fells. The bedroom is huge and the bed is extremely comfortable Hide

Issac House really does give you a good amount of space for the cost of your stay and it is cosy. Some areas though do leave you feeling that certain aspects of the property care/maintenance do need to be improved upon. For example, being greeted by a SOLD sign outside on the railings when we arrived wasn't the best impression. Overall an enjoyableRead more stay after some teething problems. Hide

One of the best cottages we've stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). Clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped, in a perfect location.

This is a really nice, TARDIS like cottage, much bigger on the inside than it looks, nicely renovated and modernised, but still has the feel of the original cottage. For a couple, or a singleton, it's nigh on perfect. The only thing it's missing is any significant outdoor space, there's a useful parking area at the rear and a very small area at theRead more front with a bench. Out of season, that's not going to be an issue, but in the warmth of a Cumbrian summer it might be a negative for some ? Hide
