This is a beautiful first-floor apartment in the bustling market town of Keswick, with superb views. It is situated within Chaucer House, an elegant period property whose high ceilings and tall sash windows create an aura of spaciousness and light. The apartment itself is quiet and calm despite being only a 5-minute walk away from the town centre.

The interior has been decorated to the highest standards with superb attention to detail throughout, making a stay here feel comfortable and luxurious.

There are many walks from the door; try walking through Springs Wood to Castlerigg Stone Circle or to the Lakeshore with its rowing boats, launches and the renowned repertoire Theatre By The Lake where you can see a different play each night.

Keswick itself has a wealth of outdoor shops, galleries, cafes, pubs, restaurants, a bi-weekly market, an independent cinema, a pencil museum and a climbing wall. It is a very special town, cherished by visitors and residents alike, being both the UK's adventure capital and a successful participant in the Britain In Bloom competition.

The main room at this apartment is large, light and beautifully decorated. There is a lounge area with solid oak floor, comfortable seating, Smart TV, and superfast broadband. Dine by the window which has fantastic views to St John's Church and the fells and mountains beyond.

At the far end of this room is the kitchen area which is fully equipped with a granite worktop and integrated appliances including fridge/freezer, electric oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and plenty of storage space.

The bedroom is spacious and has a double bed, digital Freeview TV with USB ports for charging portable appliances, hair dryer, dressing table and wardrobe with shelving.

The bathroom is large, modern, bright and fully tiled with heated towel rail and a bath with shower over.

The Apartment is in a ideal location. The added bonus is the parking and just 5 minutes walk into the town centre.

Excellent location within easy walking distance of the centre of Keswick. A dedicated parking space behind the property is a real bonus. Property is flooded with natural light and very well equipped. We will definitely look to stay here again if we are back in Keswick.

Having been coming to this apartment for over 10 years and always had a lovely stay here. However this year I think will be our last . The new sofa is horrid. The bed still needs changing, the mattress is very uncomfortable and you roll together when there are 2 in the bed. General cleaning g was ok but the cooker hood extraction and the fan Read morein the bathroom are both dirty . Plus the light in the cooker hood needs changing . Hide

This apartment was very well equipped and really clean with a spacious living area. We had a great stay and were really comfortable there. Great to have a designated parking space so close to centre of town. The only thing to note is that if youre used to a king size bed like we are then the bedroom might feel a little tight. The double bed Read moreis less than a foot from the wall on the left hand side which my husband found a bit restrictive. Hide

Good location close to town. Brilliant to have a parking space. Small, cosy flat and well equipped. Unable to get towel rail in enclosed bathroom working and with no window or air circulating towels got musty. Also had difficulty drying coats and trousers fully after rainy days.

Great apartment in top location - it even has views of the fells. No need to drive anywhere - many great walks from doorstep, close to shops, restaurants and pubs. If you don't feel like dining out the apartment kitchen is well equipped.

This is a lovely flat, warm and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and lovely bathroom. The building has a lift which maybe very useful for people with less mobility. A great bonus having a parking space and so close to town. We had a very enjoyable 3 days and would book again.

House is very tired and in need of updating and a good deep clean. House is in a great location and very close to town and in a very quiet location, which is great. The house has everything you could need. We have stayed here a good few times, sadly due to current condition I will not book again until it has been updated.

The apartment was clean, attractive and well equipped. It is very convenient for central Keswick, the lake and walks around the town. Despite the closeness to the town centre, it was very quiet. Excellent accommodation in an excellent position for walking into Keswick. Very clean and comfortable, a real home from home. Having a parking space was a real bonus, we hardly moved the car all week and used the excellent local bus service. Would not hesitate to stay again when in the area.

This was a lovely place to stay. Only a 10 minute walk to the Keswick convention, at the pencil factory and close to town, the lake and the park. The apartment had everything we needed, including a caffetiere!
