Beautiful location but the road from Braithwaite leading to the house was a bit challenging as lots of traffic and single track roads. The house is lovely with lots of original features and plenty of facilities. The beds were all very comfortable with beautiful views from the bedroom windows. Showers were good with adequate pressure and the bathRead morerooms were all in good general order. Everything was clean on arrival. Fantastic house for a big family get together and plenty of space to facilitate that. Hide

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. We had a power cut while we were there which shut off the water supply which was very inconvenient as we had not been told about it. The power and water were off for most of the day. It was a scheduled power cut for routine maintenance and the owners must of been informed we could not make drinks or breRead moreakfast and left us unwashed and half showered. We also had reason to contact the owner about a toilet in one en-suite which was blocked and smelly this took 3 days to be dealt with. We felt the response from the contact number we were given was to say the least inadequate. Hide

This house is set in the stunningly beautiful Newlands valley. It has lots of accommodation and some good features but it is in need of a proper upgrade. It felt rather unloved with broken appliances in the kitchen and all the outdoor seating is in need of replacement. The folder with house information is out-of-date and the drains need attention. Great large accommodation. All bedrooms, bar one were ensuite which was really good. Large bathroom. Large utility room also a bonus. All rooms very good sizes. Very good equipped kitchen. I booked this house for the Mountaineering club. What a brilliant and beautiful location. Keswick is just up the road with everything you need. The rooms are large with hot showers in the on suites. Lots of space to spread about. WiFi is slow but I could get 5G on the mobile data, so not a problem. Will use again

Great property for a large group. We had 14 in the main house as well as 4 and a toddler in one of the cottages. 6 out of 7 bedrooms were big King en suites so every couple was happy. There is in fact some wi-fi but it is not very fast with 16 of you trying to use it. Enough pots/pans seats etc for everyone. An extra fridge would be handy. Would reRead morecommend and stay again!
