Cottage was lovely. Bedroom door wont shut as it has warped. Nice bathroom once youve mastered not letting water escape. Kettle doesnt shut off automatically. Really clean and well furnished and the garden was lovely.

While the cottage is in a beautiful location we did have a few issues. Firstly as we pulled up and we were unloading the car, our small friendly dog was off lead for approximately 2 minutes . We were approached by a Karen neighbour telling us that our dog must be on a lead . Didnt even give us chance to get in the cottage with the bags . While thiRead mores advice would have been greatly received the manner in which she approached was not a welcoming one and certainly didnt make us feel welcome. We had issues with the tv , very slow and while watching coronation street it was playing subtitles to the previous days football . It states a cosy log burner fire and even after following instructions on 3 separate occasions and having to go out to buy matches you need to be Albert Einstein to keep this thing lit . The bed was really hard and we woke up with a bad back every morning . The bathroom although physically lovely , when showering, the drain cant cope with the water so completely soaks the entire floor to which the owner thinks its suitable to leave a squeegee instead of addressing the drain. On our last day we returned from a day out to find the outside table and chair had been rearranged and our dogs toys moved . We were aware the owners live in a property next door . I dont think they should be coming on the property during our rental period and it made us feel as though our privacy had been invaded which made us wonder had they been inside the property while we were out. The property was very clean and well equipped with what we needed and although we had a lovely break we will not be rebooking this accommodation. Hide

We had a lovely time in the cottage. The cottage is small but it is comfortable and well equipped. The log burner makes for a cozy sitting room. The broadband speed is good. In the village is a lovely cafe open every day and there are nice walks from the door. It is easy to get to Keswick and other nearby places. The garden is very secure for doRead moregs and the summer house could great in summer but we were there in February! Hide
