A warm welcome to this impressive holiday home, an indulgent and luxurious springboard to enjoy all that the much-loved Lakeland town of Keswick has to offer. Sleeping four people in two beautifully appointed bedrooms this cosy terraced house makes an ideal base to spend a Lake District break. The traditional cottage has been lovingly brought into the 21st century with subtle decor, sumptuous furnishings and modern appliances. Guests will love its comfy beds, luxurious linens and original artwork. It also benefits from a charming sunroom and a walled rear garden, perfect for enjoying a sunny morning cuppa or an evening glass of wine.

Situated in a quiet residential area near the centre of Keswick, the property is perfectly placed whether you feel like popping in to the bustling centre of the town or whether you'd like to get outdoors and make the most of the stunning natural surroundings. The town is well known for being the Lake District's adventure capital boasting a vast array of adrenaline fuelled activities in the great outdoors for visitors to sample. If you're hoping to don your walking boots then you could scarcely be better placed as there are numerous walks from the door including Latrigg, Walla Crag or the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle and should you be ready for a bigger adventure Skiddaw, one of England's mountain giants, stands guard over the town. Alternatively hop on board one of the Keswick launches to lap up the glorious scenery from glorious Derwentwater.

If a rather more gentle visit is to your taste then the town has plenty to offer with excellent eateries, characterful pubs and award winning museums, not to mention a regular market and a great range of independent and outdoor shops. It boasts its own two screen art deco cinema and the stunningly situated Theatre by the Lake which shows a varied programme of drama, comedy, music and events throughout the year. All of this within easy strolling distance of the property. So, whether you'd like your Lake District jaunt to be energetic, adventurous or just indulgent and relaxing then this gorgeous house is the perfect place to make your base. Unfortunately, this property is unsuiltable for groups with children aged 7 and under.

Expertly interior designed, this property is a wonderful retreat that you're sure to love and want to return to time and time again.

Step through the front door of this lovely Keswick cottage into the cosy entrance hall, which leads into a wonderfully welcoming and spacious open-plan living/dining room, benefitting from oak floors throughout. The dining area has a dining table and chairs for four making it the perfect place to catch up over a delicious meal.

In the living area you'll find two large sumptuous sofas and an ottoman, just perfect for relaxing after a day out exploring everything that Keswick has to offer. The living area is arranged around the lovely wood burner, ideal for cosy nights in. For entertainment there's a flatscreen TV, DVD player and Sky TV.

At the rear of the cottage is the fully fitted kitchen; enjoying a view over the rear patio, this is a country-style room that cooks will love. The kitchen is fully equipped to the highest standard with all the modern conveniences you could ask for: there's an integrated dishwasher, a useful washer-drier, fridge/freezer and separate microwave. There's also a large, feature range-style cooker with five ring gas burner, two ovens and separate grill. Leading off the kitchen is the conservatory-style sitting area, with table and seating and an external door to the rear patio, meaning you can enjoy the feeling of being outdoors even if it's raining.

Upstairs there are two gorgeous bedrooms and the modern shower room. The front bedroom benefits from a feature oak super king (6ft) bed. With lovely views to Latrigg, bedside tables, dressing table and fitted wardrobes, you'll feel perfectly at home in here. The rear bedroom also offers generous stylish and comfortable accommodation. This room has a king-size metal bed (5ft), with bedside tables, dressing table, armchair and fitted wardrobe. The family shower room has a large walk-in power shower with rain-head and separate shower attachment, vanity unit and large heated towel rail, perfect for warm snuggly towels. High quality cotton bedding and towels are provided.

To the front of the cottage there is a small sitting area with views over the rooftops towards Latrigg - it's the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. The rear patio is enclosed and private, benefiting from rattan seating and a dining table. Free on-street parking is available.

Beautiful place to stay. It is like a tardis ... much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 dogs. It is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable.
