The first features a large bay window, TV and plenty of seating, while the second has equally plush seating, a second TV and a traditional wood burner for cosy evenings in. For coastal adventures, head to the tranquil Drigg Sand Dunes (6.5 miles), or to Wast Water, 10 miles northeast. Walkers and outdoor enthusiasts can venture further inland to take on some of the Lake District’s most talked-about peaks, including Scafell Pike, Great Gable and Hard Knott, all within 15 miles.
