Made for couples or friends, the apartment sleeps four and is also pet-friendly.

Step onto the first floor of this grand building and into your apartment, where everything you need is laid out across one level. Social open-plan living awaits in the large lounge/kitchen/diner – a bright, airy space with delightful views. After a long day on the fells, the L-shaped sofa beckons. Switch on the Smart TV or settle in for a relaxed evening of conversation. Along the hallway are two bedrooms: the master is a super-king-size with a versatile zip-and-link setup, while the second is a generous king-size. One room enjoys en-suite facilities, with the other having sole use of the stylish family bathroom. While there’s no designated private outdoor area, the apartment includes a private parking spot and is surrounded by expansive grassy lawns.

Before heading into the town centre, take a detour to the fabulous Orrest Head Viewpoint (1.5 miles) to enjoy far-reaching views across Windermere and towards the lake. From there, follow a path down to Lake Windermere itself (1.5 miles), where you’ll find opportunities for water sports, boat rides, fishing, and peaceful walks along the shoreline. Follow the lake north to the scenic village of Ambleside (5 miles) or cross the water to explore the pretty hilltop of Claife Heights (5 miles).

This property is very well appointed and maintained, and it is well positioned in the centre of the south lake district. We had a very comfortable stay and there was lots to do and see within the immediate locality. Lovely apartment, very well equipped, great location and grounds. No outdoor seating and some noisy building work going on during our stay.
