This beautifulholiday home is situated on the lower slopes of Skiddaw. It occupies a nice position in the much sought-after hamlet of Applethwaite with wide ranging views of Keswick, Derwentwater and the surrounding mountains.
This elegant cottage sleeps up to eight people in four bedrooms, all of which enjoy lovely views of Grisedale Pike or Latrigg. The sitting room is beautifully decorated and has wifi and a smart TV.
Applethwaite is just below Skiddaw making it the perfect start place for an ascent of this magnificent mountain. There are plenty of gentler walks too, either on Latrigg for fine views, or down to Bassenthwaite Lake. Keswick is just a mile away and is a pleasant walk across the fields, passing safely beneath the A66.
Keswick is a busy market town, with plenty of choice when it comes to pubs and places to eat, and shops for outdoor equipment. For evening entertainment there is the local cinema or the renowned Theatre by the Lake.
The house is accessed from the front door into the tiled hallway. The kitchen is a good size with table and chairs, large freestanding fridge and freezer, built in electric double oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. The drinking water has a filter system.
The sitting room has comfortable seating, open fire with no glass front, (initial supply of logs provided) and large smart TV. Patio doors lead out to the rear patio area.

Upstairs there are four lovely bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed with a large en-suite bathroom comprising of a bath, shower enclosure, wash basin and WC. The master bedroom also boasts beautiful views to Grisedale Pike and Catbells. There are two double bedrooms both with views to Latrigg plus a twin bedroom . A hairdryer is available in the main bedroom.
The family bathroom has a WC, wash basin and a over bath power shower.
The lovely garden has flowering shrubs, a patio area to the side and rear with table and chairs and lockable shed for bike storage.
