The first of the bedrooms is situated on the ground floor as well: a sumptuous double with an en-suite bathroom. On the first floor, you will find two pretty double bedrooms, two sumptuous king-size bedrooms, and a family bedroom with two bunk beds and a games area complete with a TV and a Nintendo Switch. There are also two family bathrooms on this level. Outside is a spacious tiered garden with two patio areas and a lawn space for you to enjoy playing.
Bassenthwaite is a quaint village with a pub and a large lake, the perfect spot for your group to try out water sports such as stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking. You can take a gentle stroll around the lake or challenge yourself to a bold hike and climb up Skiddaw (5 miles) or Blencathra (13 miles). If you are a group of keen cyclists, head to the fabulous Whinlatter Forest (11 miles) which is brimming with tracks and trails.
