Its a superb, quiet location in a tiny hamlet away from main roads so wonderfully peaceful. Lovely garden to sit out in and enjoy the peace and birds singing. A few issues with mould and an oven door that does not close safely (it would be easy for a child to open it inadvertently) - check that these things have been sorted before booking if theRead morey matter to you. Otherwise a great place (we have stayed there twice). Hide

We had a really lovely time at the cottage, it is warm and cosy, with plenty of space for everyone. The beds are very comfortable, so a good nights sleep was had. The fridge and dishwasher door need attention but this did not distract from the overall stay.

Lovely large cottage. Very clean inside and the garden was beautiful. Reclining sofas were great for resting your legs in the evening. Lovely peaceful location. Only a couple of complaints, the mattresses were hard and lumpy making sleep difficult. Pillows were thin and hard so if you like a nice fluffy pillow then these aren't those. Kitchen was lRead morearge and spacious but lacking in some essentials like sugar, teabags etc so make sure that you bring those with you. I would recommend this cottage. Hide

We stayed at Knipe Fold for a week in early June and found the cottage well equipped and located for exploring the Ambleside area of the Lake District. The cottage was spacious, very comfortable and the EV charger for the extra 30 was really useful for us.
