We loved Jasmine Cottage, it was beautifully warm with comfortable beds and so well located for the shops and pubs. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed some lovely dinners at home together. We loved all the different areas for walking and especially the one we did on the last day to Tarn Hows. The beautiful church and the grammar scRead morehool were delightful and we loved all the connections with Beatrix Potter. So lovely to hear nothing in the morning! Hide

Lovely cottage in a perfect location. The bed was very comfortable and the drying room downstairs was a godsend as the weather was a little moist. This did nothing to dampen our spirits as we finished the 75km Windermere lap ultra marathon and had a great week recovering at the cottage afterwards. A very relaxing week away!

What a terrific cottage. It is very well-situated and well-equipped; we felt right at home from arrival. Hawkshead is a wonderful place, loads to see in the surrounding area (the host has supplied loads of useful walking guides in the property, thanks!!) and very nice pubs in the town (booking recommended for meals in the Queen's Head!).

A gorgeous cottage, so perfectly placed for easy access to everything the village has to offer, yet a super peaceful and quite location. No noise whatsoever. Lots of walks to do straight from the back door - absolutely perfect all round. 10/10 Wed definitely stay again. The fire working for winter would be a nice touch (fingers crossed).

Very comfortable cottage very close to the centre of Hawkshead. It was uncharacteristically hot for early May so we didn't get the usual rain. The basement utility area would have been very good for drying out wet clothes and muddy boots but wasn't needed the week we were there.

This is our second stay at Jasmine and such a delight to return. It's cosy and so convenient for us with two spaniels. Basement is perfect for them and ideal with its heated floor to keep wet coats and boots dry! Hope to return again later in the year.

The cottage is great for a Lake District holiday. The equipment is really good, good quality pans and appliances. The basement area is fantastic for washing or dealing with wet/muddy clothes after a walk. The beds are very comfy, and separate bath and shower room with powerful shower are great for family of two adults and two children.
