Enjoying enviable views from both sides over the surrounding rooftops to the fells beyond, this lovely holiday property is a third floor apartment just a short walk from the centre of Keswick. The apartment is accessed via a communal staircase, there is also a lift that guests can use but this is not managed by the owners.(there is step free access from the front door, but a short flight of stairs to reach the lift when accessing the building from the car park). The property offers wonderful, refurbished accommodation for four. With a modern kitchen, fantastic living-dining room, two lovely bedrooms, a double and a twin, two bathrooms and its own designated parking space, there's a lot to love about the property!

With everything that Keswick has to offer right on your doorstep, there's certainly plenty to see and do during your stay at the property. Head to beautiful Derwentwater, just a short walk from the apartment, for a day on the water; hire a canoe or rowing boat if you're feeling adventurous, or simply enjoy a ride on one of the popular launches. Why not don your walking boots and set off on the circular 10 mile walk around Derwentwater? Walk along the lakeshore and through beautiful woodland, you'll be rewarded by stunning views all the way round. For those with an interest in the more mystical, a walk up to Castlerigg Stone Circle is a must - see if you can count the same number of stones twice! Linger over coffee and homemade cake in one of the many independent cafes or stock up on local produce and souvenirs at the weekly market.

Fell walkers will delight at the number of mountains you can tackle straight from the front door without needing to get in the car. Head up ever popular Latrigg for stunning panoramic views over Keswick, pause for a moment at the famous bench near the top, perfect for a flask of tea. Continue onwards and upwards to mighty Skiddaw, England's fourth highest mountain. Scramble up Catbells or Walla Crag, the picturesque views over Derwentwater are certainly worth the climb!

Why not treat yourselves to a stay at the property? A wonderful two bedroom, two bathroom apartment a stone's throw from the centre of Keswick. Sitting pretty on the third floor of Chaucer House, this property enjoys enviable views from its elevated position over the surrounding rooftops to the fells beyond.

Head inside the property and you'll feel instantly at home in this refurbished apartment. All the rooms are located off a central hallway allowing for super easy and relaxed living. The modern kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, handy microwave and even a slimline dishwasher - if you did fancy doing the washing up yourself though, you can do so with a view! The sink is perfectly positioned in the window with a fantastic view towards Latrigg and Skiddaw. Next to the kitchen is a handy storage cupboard containing a useful washer/dryer, boot rack and hooks for coats. Across the landing from the kitchen is the quirky living-dining room. Set in the eaves, this is a wonderfully cosy room but thanks to its two dormer windows still manages to make the most of its elevated position. This time the view is to the front, over trees and pretty St Johns Church to Grisedale Pike and the Coledale Round in the distance. Gather round the dining table for a hearty home cooked meal before moving seemlessly to the sofa and armchairs for a cosy night in. For entertainment there's a TV with Apple TV and a speaker should you wish to play your own music.

Next along the landing is the modern family bathroom. With a bath and shower over (as well as the WC and wash basin), all tastes are catered for; indulge in a long soak or reinvigorate tired muscles under the shower. The master double bedroom is a lovely relaxing room. Why not enjoy your morning cuppa whilst admiring the view from the comfort of your bed? A storage cupboard with hanging space and a bench with storage baskets are useful additions that complete this lovely room. This bedroom's en-suite shower room is a real treat and means the apartment works well for small families, friends, or two couples looking to holiday together. In the en-suite you'll find a WC, wash basin and shower cubicle. A delightful twin completes the sleeping accommodation.

A designated parking space is a real bonus this close to the town centre (unrestricted on-street parking can be found be found nearby for a second car), as is having so much green space on your doorstep. Indeed, the property is the perfect place to retreat to after a day out exploring.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property had everything we needed, it was clean, comfortable and close to the town centre. On arrival it seemed quite small but 4 adults managed quite well without getting in each others way. And the views are fantastic from every window.

The views were absolutely stunning, and the house was very well equipped everything from board games and books to a good TV setup. Its just a short, pleasant walk into Keswick town centre, which was ideal. The building itself has lots of character, with beautiful beams and a cosy feel. Our third time to The Loft, perfect for us. Location is brilliant. Warm and cosy apartment, everything you need (. although I will say we did no cooking as all of the puds and restaurants are so good). Taller people may find the low beams a bit of a problem but we don't have any issues with them. Already looking to book for next year.

A beautiful holiday home. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard. An excellent base for touring the Lakes and lovely to return to and spend time in. The parking space was great as parking in Keswick can be difficult at times. The lift was very useful for heavy bags and after a long day walking! Lovely property in a great location, would definitely stay again. Yes, the parking space was a little tight with a large car and the headroom is restricted in parts of the apartment, but the location and views make these a very minor inconvenience. The weather was awful so our accommodation was very important. The views are wonderful in both directions. A very peaceful environment and the loft had all we needed. Lots of good quality guide books. Apartment was very comfortable. There were two issues. Firstly the parking space was just big enough, we had a long car and struggled to park.
