Discover the delightful coastal village of Haverigg from this charming property that’s been renovated to an exceptional standard, with lovely wooden panelling and floors. Haverigg has a picturesque harbour and a dog-friendly beach (within 0.5 miles), and a friendly atmosphere. With space for four guests, this holiday home is perfect for a family trip or holiday among seaside-loving friends.

The cottage features a reverse-level layout, with an entrance hall and the bedrooms on the ground floor – a double and a twin, both of which offer mesmerising sea views (not a bad way to start each day). A light and bright bathroom completes this floor. Head up to the top level to discover an expansive open-plan area in the eaves of the house, with lovely, vaulted ceilings. There’s a lounge area with a Smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen at one end, and a dining space for enjoying meals together. A gentle colour scheme of light blues creates a calming atmosphere and a striking look against all the wood. The pièce de résistance is the bi-folding doors that lead out to your private balcony, a spectacular vantage point for panoramic coastal vistas. You’ll also have access to a shared garden with seating.

Take a stroll along the beach or seek out some serenity in Hodbarrow Nature Reserve (1 mile), a lovely spot for observing birds and other wildlife. You could plan a hike in the Lake District National Park (3.5 miles) or step back in time at historic Muncaster Castle (15.5 miles), a Grade I-listed building surrounded by gorgeous landscaped gardens. The nostalgic Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway (15 miles) offers a scenic trip through the pretty Eskdale Valley, showcasing views of the Scafell Range.

Lovely house, easy check in/out, grateful for welcome tea coffee/milk. Tried the local fish and chips which were lovely. We walked Black Combe, Catbells Hodbarrow, Stanle Ghyll and the Ulverston Canal on the journey home whilst charging car at Booths Ulverston.

Great cottage - we really enjoyed staying here! The home had everything we needed and we appreciated the extra touches. Terrific place to recharge! Delicious Sunday Roast at the local pub. Visited Beatrix Potter House and Swinside Stone Circle. Really nice people everywhere we went. Thank you for hosting us!

We thought the property was nicely furnished and presented. Parking is very easy, right in front of number 47 and unpacking at the door. The area is very tranquil with calm views and a nature reserve on the doorstep. May is not holiday time though, the local pub only serves food at weekends and the museum in Millom was not open in the afternoon wheRead moren we tried to visit (despite both leaflet and internet claiming it was). A great sea front location facing South. Having the living room and kitchen upstairs provided fantastic views from this bright room. Although we werent able to make use of it, the outside seating would have been great for couples and families.
