For friends or a family dreaming of spending a relaxing holiday overlooking Lake Windermere and exploring the surrounding area, this elegant Lakeland home is the perfect property. This stylish, traditional cottage is the ideal place to get away from it all and unwind. Would only give this 3 stars overall. The house and location were very nice. Room for improvement in areas with regard fixtures and fittings. Example curtains falling off rails and not enough kitchen equipment. Loose handles on all the kitchen cupboards house needs some general TLC.

Nice cottage near lake Windermere with a partial view of the lake. Ferry within 15 minutes walking distance so you can go to Windermere without the car. We enjoyed our week and would come again.

The cottage is in a delightful peaceful woodland setting with distant views of Windermere. Well situated to explore the quiet side of Windermere the lanes are narrow but there is very little traffic to contend with. Easy to access the eastern side of the lake via the ferry which is conveniently situated nearby with the added bonus of being free forRead more blue badge holders. House well equipped but badly in need of a deep clean, beware of the clothes moths which are everywhere! Hide
