This property is a great value large terraced house in the heart of Keswick sleeping up to ten people in five comfortable bedrooms. Situated down a quiet street in this much loved Lakeland town Kingsfell offers bags of space for a gathering including its own games room and extra living area, ideal for teens and tweens wanting some space of their own. This slate fronted Victorian house is spread over three floors and overlooks the peaks of Latrigg and mighty Skiddaw, England's fourth highest mountain, from the front bedrooms. The centre of town lies just a few minutes walk away with a vast array of things to do whatever your interests.

Keswick is a jewel in the crown of the Lake District National Park, situated on picturesque Derwentwater and surrounded by stunning fell views to all sides. It's known as the adventure capital of the Lakes and it's easy to see why as you can try your hand at almost any outdoor activity with a wealth of instructors on hand to help you find your wild side. If a gentler time in the great outdoors is more to your taste then there is a huge choice of things to do from easy low level walks and cycle rides to catching the lovely Derwentwater launch and soaking up the stunning scenery from the water.

The town offers plenty in the way of cultural delights too with its own art deco cinema showing mainstream and independent films and the beautifully situated Theatre By The Lake offering a varied programme of drama, comedy and music throughout the year. The house is conveniently close to all the town's amenities. Families will love Keswick's Leisure Pool with its huge slide and wave machine just a 5-minute potter away and the excellent play park and Keswick Museum right next door. Not to mention the great choice of shops and eateries all on your doorstep at Kingsfell.

Stay in this large terraced house in a quiet residential area of Keswick just a stone's throw from the town centre. On arrival at the house there are several steps up to the front door from the pavement where you'll also find a small raised terrace with a bench for taking in the views up to the fell tops or just watching the world go by.

Enter the spacious hallway leading first to the pleasant living room. It has a lovely light feel about it having high ceilings with period details, wooden floors, a large bay window, a gas-effect fire and plenty of seating space for relaxing in the evening. There is a large Smart TV . Further along the hall lies the spacious dining room with large table and a wooden dresser. Beyond this lies the well-equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, double oven with gas hobs and a large fridge/freezer. Of course it has all the crockery and utensils you will need for a gathering. The games room is just beyond the kitchen, it's a great space for kids or teens with a sofa and a pool table, and being just next to the kitchen, you won't have to shout too loudly to get them all to come for dinner!

Upstairs you first reach a stair landing. At the end of this corridor is the second living area with its own TV and DVD player. There's no need to argue over who gets the remote control when the kids have a snug of their own. Along here lies all of the bathroom facilities. There are two separate WCs, a shower room and a separate bathroom with bath (no shower).

Up the curved staircase to the first floor bedrooms where you'll find a twin room looking out to the back of the property and the large king-size room looking out to the front at the view of Skiddaw and Latrigg. Both of these rooms have a wardrobe, chest of drawers and in-room sink.

Heading up to the upper floor you'll find the remaining bedrooms. Firstly the larger of the two rooms has twin beds, a wardrobe, drawers and an in-room sink looking out to the rear of the house while the smaller single room has a small window looking out to the fells. The second king-size room also looks out on the mountains standing guard over the town and has a wardrobe, bedside drawers and an in-room sink.

To the rear of the property there is a small yard with a bench for outdoor dining.

Great location close to everything in Keswick. Size is great and perfect for a group of 6 friends on a walking weekend. Does need a bit of TLC though as its very tired and worn in places. Definitely not to the standard of other Keswick rentals.

Stayed here for 30 years but over the years it has changed. On the plus side Kingsfell is close to the town centre but parking is poor. The dinner room lacked some key features such as table mats and small (tumbler size) glasses. This year the 'drying room' (an essential in the Lakes) was unusable as the top section of a dresser was being stored inRead more there, this also meant that the high chair could not easily be accessed. There is only one seperate toilet, the other one is in the shower room. Hide

A great location in quite a basic house. Make sure you pack your own towels and extra layers for the single glazed windows!
