Surrounded by dry stone walls and pastures where livestock gently graze, the peaceful setting promises a truly restful break. The bijou abode accommodates four guests and is pet friendly, making it ideal for a small family or a couple seeking extra space. Positioned on the edge of the village of Ravenstonedale, this charming Cumbrian destination offers a pub, a golf club and a wealth of walking and cycling routes right from your doorstep.

Decorated with stylish contemporary touches that complement its original cottage features, this end-terrace property has been lovingly renovated to create a wonderful place to stay. Upstairs, two bedrooms - a king-size and a twin - are decorated in soft tones with antique furnishings. They're reached via steep cottage stairs, with a family bathroom conveniently located beside them. Outside, a furnished open courtyard offers a spot to sit in the fresh air, and an outhouse provides a utility space with laundry facilities. Off-road parking is available for one car.

Great location, friendly village and two brilliant pubs within walking distance. Lots of walks from the doorstep. Parking is private but once your car is parked, the yard (there is no garden) is quite small. The main issue is the gate: there is a big gap along the bottom which any small dog (including ours) could get through onto the road. It wouldRead more only need a piece of netting attaching across to make it secure. Consequently, we had to escort our dog outside wherever he went. This has been flagged up several times in the visitor's book so I don't really understand why it hasn't been done. The interior of the cottage is very comfortable (except you can only watch the TV from one of the armchairs) although it does smell of damp and you need to open the windows asap, or light the fire. Lovely cosy cottage in a wonderful position on the edge of a charming and peaceful village, close to fabulous countryside and also in walking distance to the pub. Perfect for the two of us and our dog. Well equipped with a nice modern kitchen and bathroom. Sunny courtyard to sit in (though not entirely dog proof for smaller dogs).

A lovely well equipped cottage in a lovely location, we stayed back in May and returned as so nice. There have been numerous comments left in guest book over the months with little action taken, this is all that is required to make the cottage perfect.

we had a very pleasant week at Coopers Cottage with our dog, private parking was no problem, could recommend the Kings Head and a trip to Barnard Castle for the Bowes Museum.
