Experience the Lake District’s natural beauty with a stay at this traditional stone property in the sought-after town of Windermere. Within 0.5 miles you’ll have local amenities like shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs. Bowness-on-Windermere (1 mile), right by the water’s edge, has even more dining options, as well as lake cruises and boating trips. Its World of Beatrix Potter Attraction will also be popular with children. Head to the Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre (3 miles), for archery, mini golf and boat tour bookings. Beatrix Potter’s former home (12 miles) is also well worth the trip for literary fans. Keen to lace up your hiking boots? You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to scenic trails, with Wansfell Pike (5 miles), Grasmere (8.5 miles) and Grizedale Forest (13 miles) all fantastic options for planning routes.
On arrival, you’ll climb three steps up to the front door and step into a spacious hallway. The place has been thoughtfully modernised, with wooden accents, a neutral colour scheme and attractive exposed stonework remaining. To the left is a cosy living room with a large bay window, along with plenty of sofa space and a Smart TV for relaxed evenings in. Straight ahead, the staircase leads up to the first floor, while to the right you’ll have a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area. This is an elegant space with a large wooden dining table, glossy units and a handy breakfast bar for perching with morning toast or pre-dinner drinks. A utility room and WC sit usefully just beyond, while a door leads out to the enclosed rear garden and private parking bays. Head up the wooden staircase to discover three en-suite bedrooms – two king-size and a double – each with stylish accents and then up to the second floor with the fourth bedroom that has double bed and an en-suite bathroom.
Outside, the enclosed garden provides a peaceful spot to sit back and soak up your surroundings, making use of the furniture provided. There is private parking for two cars.
