Lose yourselves in the breathtaking views from every window in this spacious Lake District apartment. Situated near Castlerigg, just over 1 mile from colourful Keswick, the two-bedroom, duplex apartment sits across the second and third floor of the handsome, stone building. Surrounded by gorgeous, shared gardens and picturesque countryside, it sleeps four guests.

Let yourselves into the 19th-century building via your own front door at ground-floor level to find a hall, with space for shoes and jackets, then climb the stairs to your accommodation. Designed with a reverse level to maximise the views, the apartment encompasses its bedrooms and bathrooms on the first floor. These include a lovely king size room, with an en-suite shower room, and a twin that can also be made up as a super-king-size if discussed at booking. The family bathroom is also here. Wander up more stairs to find the modern, well equipped and comfortable kitchen where you can cater for your party, taking in the view of the beautiful Catbells. More stairs will then sweep you up to the lounge/diner, a generous space with a vaulted and beamed ceiling. Settle on the soft leather seating to watch the Smart TV or gather round the table for meals. Gaze out of the windows at every opportunity. Guests can also carry their drinks or meals out to a picnic table in the grounds and are very welcome to stroll around the lawns and admire the scenery from outside. This apartment has parking for two cars.

Stroll 0.5 miles from the holiday home to see the famous Castlerigg Stone Circle. Pick up the 3-mile Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail close by too. Head into town to shop, dine out and book tickets for the Theatre by the Lake. Follow a section of the 10-mile loop all the way round Derwentwater too during your stay.

We very much enjoyed our week at High Rigg. The walk into town via the converted railway track was good for our fitness levels as we had entered the 2 peak challenge at the Keswick Mountain Festival. The views are amazing from the apartment which is huge and very comfortable and well equipped. Would very much like to return.

Flat 7 High Rigg is quietly located just outside of Keswick and has superb views from the fourth floor - beware no lift! the accommodation is within an older style property and thus has good sound insulation from other flats. The accommodation is well equipped and service to the few questions we had was quite fast. Great views of cat bells. Quiet location. We enjoyed our stay in the most part. The description on the website doesn't tell you about the steep gravel path that's 1/2 km long up to the house from the main road.

The appartment was clean, and spacious for our stay, the equipment was surficiant for our needs The views from the windows were wonderful, and the walks around the area were ideal base for us to go and explore Keswick,with or without a car. We would recommend.
