Situated on the banks of the River Eden, this unique cottage offers a breathtaking riverside setting, making it ideal for couples looking for a relaxing getaway. Kirkby Stephen is a delightful market town in the Eden Valley, home to the historic St. Stephen''s Church, the fascinating Kirkby Stephen Heritage Centre and access to the Pennine Journey path following the banks of the River Eden. Hikers will love the trails at nearby Nine Standards Rigg (4 miles), and birdwatchers and those seeking a more leisurely walk should visit Smardale Gill Nature Reserve (3 miles).

Enter a beautiful, inviting property, which is set over two levels, and full of contemporary character and comfort. The downstairs living space has plenty of seating where you can relax and enjoy your favourite book. The kitchen area is thoughtfully designed and has everything you need to whip up a lazy brunch or a romantic dinner. A tall table with seating offers a delightful spot to enjoy your meals while admiring the beautiful views over the river and countryside. A shower room is on the ground floor. The side of the cottage leads directly onto the riverbank, offering a perfect spot for a picnic or feeding the ducks. There is off-road parking for one car.

The area has plenty of waterfalls to discover, including Cautley Spout and Kisdon Force, less than 11 miles away. The Yorkshire Dales is on your doorstep, and the picturesque village of Hawes is 17 miles away. It is the gateway village for walks into Wensleydale and home to the famous cheese. History buffs can discover the impressive ruins of Brough Castle (4.5 miles) built on the site of a Roman fort.

We absolutely loved our time at Riverbank Cottage! It was perfect for our time away to rest and recharge. I loved feeding the ducks from the kitchen window!

Cottage was excellent. Great location and watching the ducks and ducklings really relaxing. Even watched couple of cricket games.

Very comfortable, clean and cozy. Excellent riverside position with fabulous walks on the doorstep and only a 5 minute walk to the town centre with great pubs and an eclectic mix of independent shops.
