This welcoming holiday apartment enjoys a central location in the vibrant market town of Ulverston. Sleeping four guests, it’s the perfect base for couples and small families looking to explore the southern Lake District. Lake Windermere is just 8 miles away, and you can also spend the day at the coast at Bardsea or Baycliff (both within 5 miles). After a busy day, fire up the BBQ for an evening of al fresco dining under the stars.

Stairs lead to the front door of the duplex apartment. Inside, the stylish holiday home carefully blends original features with contemporary design. After a day of adventure, unwind in the cosy lounge/diner, where sumptuous seating is arranged around a Smart TV and there is a table for four for enjoying mealtimes as a group. An open doorway leads through to the sleek kitchen, which is equipped with everything needed for a self-catering holiday. Upstairs, discover two inviting bedrooms, featuring plush linens and geometric prints. Nestled between the two bedrooms is a compact shower room. Outside, the partially enclosed patio garden is a real suntrap, with furniture and a BBQ for outdoor dining. Parking is available in a public car park, less than 100 metres from the property.

Ulverston is a colourful market town with cobbled streets, friendly pubs and great restaurants. The town also boasts an impressive calendar of events and festivals throughout the year. There are some lovely walks to explore in and around the town, including to the top of Hoad Hill, where you’ll be treated to panoramic views across Morecambe Bay and the Lake District. Just over 8 miles away is Newby Bridge, at the foot of Lake Windermere. Head here to join a lake cruise or board the steam trains of the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.

An ideal location for visiting Ulverston, very close to all shops and there are plenty of pubs to choose from and all within walking distance. The property is very cosy and clean and is more ideal for 2 adults and 2 children, however the shower is rather small. The car park is just across the road from the property, so we bought a parking permit Read morewhich also enables you to use the ticket in other parts of the Lake District, that have the same green logo, so can save you money on parking fees during your stay. I recently stayed at The Quarterdeck in Ulverston with my Fiance, and it truly lived up to its description as a comfortable and well-situated retreat. The property was thoughtfully designed with cozy furnishings and all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The location was idealwithin easy walking distance to Ulverstons charming town centeRead morer, with its array of shops, cafes, and restaurants.
