A contemporary cottage on a working farm surrounded by Wainwrights just 4 miles from Keswick, one of the most popular market towns in the Lake District National Park. Finished to a wonderful standard, the two-storey cottage features an open-plan living area, a spacious king-size bedroom and a patio area with its own hot tub.
The cottage is set in glorious Lakeland countryside in the shadow of towering fells. Its interior is a blend of modern and traditional, with original roof beams complementing sleek, soft furnishings practically arranged across carpeted floors. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner features comfortable seating set around a wall-mounted Smart TV, while the chic kitchen space offers all you need to whip up a romantic feast for two, to be enjoyed at the stylish wooden breakfast bar. Walk over the underfloor heating and head to the stairs that lead to the first floor. This area is dominated by a superb king-size bedroom with a beamed ceiling, low windows, slate window sills and fell views. An en-suite shower room with a walk-in rainfall shower completes the interior. Outside, the patio area at the front of the cottage enjoys further fell views from its seating, as does the private hot tub. Private parking for one car is also available.
The farm is ideally placed for exploring the various Wainwrights around Bassenthwaite Lake, Ullswater, and Derwent Water, all of which are within an 11-mile radius. The village of Threlkeld (1 mile) is handy for essentials, a quick pint, a round of golf or a day watching the cricket during the summer. Keswick (4 miles) is a lively market town cherished by foodies, history buffs and art enthusiasts, along with a wide array of outdoor adventurers.
