This characterful home has sloped ceilings, exposed beams and skylights adding lots of light to some of the rooms. The hallway has a traditional wooden arch and space for you to hang up your coats and place your walking boots. Cook up delicious meals in the kitchen and eat together around the dining table set in a characterful room with an exposed beamed ceiling. Get ready to unwind in the lounge by firing up the wood burner and laying back on the comfortable sofa. A handy utility room completes the ground floor. Upstairs on the first floor are three well-appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room, while the two other bedrooms have double beds and share access to a family bathroom. At the front of the cottage is a small patio area with a bench, where you can sit and watch the world go by while sipping on a cup of coffee.
Bowness-on-Solway is a little village on the western end of Hadrian’s Wall. It has a handy pub and tearoom (200 metres) and is on a cycle route.
