Spread over three storeys, this five-bedroom property is truly luxurious. The original building has high ceilings, Edwardian panelling, and ornate fireplaces, which are complemented by a contemporary extension that forms the hub of the house. Cook up a storm in the designer kitchen, which includes a range-style oven and large central island, and relax and entertain at the end of the room where a stunning apex window and wall of glazing fill the dining area and lounge with light. There’s plenty of space for your group to relax and spread out with a formal lounge with a gas fire and leather sofas, and a cinema room with a large TV and surround sound in the original part of the house. Here you’ll also find a formal dining room with oak panelling. This property is situated 2 miles south of Bowness-on-Windermere, a large tourist town with an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, and home to The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. Keen Beatrix Potter fans can also catch the car ferry over the lake to visit Hill Top, the former home of this much-loved children’s author.

We had a fantastic stay at this house in the Lake District. The garden was great for the kids to play in and they loved the treehouse. We also loved how close it was to key Windemere attractions. The house itself is very tastefully decorated and was a very comfortable and relaxing place to spend our holiday.
