Enjoying a convenient location in the centre of Kendal, this traditional stone-built cottage has been lovingly restored to a high standard for a charming escape in Cumbria. This family-friendly base is fantastic for the outdoorsy folk seeking to explore the nooks and crannies of the Lake District.

From the pavement, step inside the holiday home and make your way into the inviting open-plan lounge. Overhead exposed wooden beams, pillowy sofas and vibrant colours make this space a pleasure to put your feet up in, and even indulge in a few tasty treats from the Kendal farm shops. Gather together for magnificent meals around the dining table or use the space to win games of cards. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are full of character, with pops of colour and sizeable beds providing a brilliant night's sleep. The upstairs also features a charming bathroom with an exposed brick wall. While this lovely property has no outdoor space, we're sure the pups will enjoy sniffing along the river on their morning walkies or playing fetch in the park. The kitchen is perfect for refuelling after long strolls and features a handy washing machine and tumble drier for putting life back into any damp outdoor gear.

You are 300 metres from the lively centre of Kendal. This extraordinary market town boasts cobbled streets leading to high-quality restaurants, friendly independent retailers, scenic walking routes, and surrounding fells. Venture from here to the world-famous Lake Windemere (9.5 miles) to hop aboard the cruise boat and potter around the lakeside village of Ambleside. For a glorious day out, head to Staveley on the train to sample flavoursome hops at the Hawkshead Brewery (5 miles).

Nice cottage and location not to far from the shops with good walks to take the dogs on. Ideal for the lakes and waterfalls. Would and will recommend as a good and comfortable base in the Lake District.

It was a lovely little property, perfect for the 2 of us and our dogs and would have been just fine with another 2 people in the other bedroom. A stair gate would be ideal with the dogs as we dont allow them upstairs at home but we improvised with a step ladder. Also being on the path straight from front door it would be handy to have a curtain oveRead morer the front door for on a night time. Very little could improve this cottage but realistically it was great and fine as it was. Had everything you could need Hide

Lovely cottage. Cosy and warm. Very well equipped through out. Bedding and towels lovely and clean. Although there is no garden, there are grassed arrears both sides of the river, very close by to take the dogs to. Thank you we really enjoyed our stay!
