The cottage looks lovely in the advert but unfortunately it is in need of a deep clean, I have so many photos of the cobwebs and the disgusting washing machine drawer, shared use of hottub advertised and this was one of the reasons for booking, however, it wasn't filled with water but was green with algae and other detritus (photo available) PlRead moreease think twice before booking swallow cottage!! A great base for exploring not only the immediate area but the Lakes to the south and Borders/Scotland to the north. A nice cottage in a quiet location with good amenities and a small town close by for shopping. Carlisle just 15/20 mins away and easy access to the M6 to explore the Lakes and Scotland.
